INFORMATION/ INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

Information/instructional design is the distinct planning of specific information, which is appointed to a particular audience to meet an objective. The information designer may create an information composition which entitles the overall pattern or structure. Hence, it can be simply defined as the preparation of information so that all consumers can use with efficiency and capability.Information design also organizes data into information for users which is produced in a systematic format. The structuring is allocated in categories such as hierarchies, time, alphabet and location. This will then benefit the users by finding specific information in a recognizable structure.
Some of its aims are to develop documents that are understandable and obtainable to translate into effective action. Information/instructional design may be processed by analysing the problem, selecting an objective, developing suitable materials, implementing instructional materials and evaluate the procedure.
